Vocab

Proximity:  related items should be grouped

Alignment:  everything on a page should be visually connected to comething else on the page.

Repetition: repeat element throughout the page

Contrast: if two items aren't the same make them very different.

Dominance: an object with visual weight.

Direction: the way  the viewers eye goes through the picture.

Proportion: the size of an item compared to another.

Unity: what pulls a picture together.

Variety: Having many different things that are also slightly similar.

White Spaces : hving some blank spaces in an image.

Symmetry/ Asymmetry: Balance between two halves of an image.

Dynamics: Objects arranged to suggest movement.

Emphasis: rhaving a focus point.

Harmony: layers combined to create a more affective whole.

Depth: having the illusion of space and distance.

Typography: the way text or lettering looks

Simplicity: keeping it simple and not overdoing everything.

Flow: fluid motion through an image.

Texture: giving an image the look of feeling

Size: variation in size can be used to add depth.
